Escola de Vela da Lagoa- Watersports center
Hey everyone,
We are Escola de Vela da Lagoa, EVL, a watersports center based in the beautiful Lagoa d'Óbidos, Portugal. We are a Sailing (Hobie Cats), Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Wingfoiling, SUP and kayaking school, so needless to say, a lot is going on. One of the oldest schools in Portugal, we have been running since 1997, with a strong focus on beginner lessons for all these sports.
Also, we are based right on the beach of the Lagoa d'Óbidos, one of the most beginner-friendly spots in Europe, with perfect flat-water conditions for watersports. Wind is incredibly consistent from April to October, with a large majority of days within the 10 to 20 knots range, again, ideal for teaching.
The town itself (Foz do Arelho) is also very special, with all the amenities needed, some nightlife, open outdoors and one of the most beautiful beaches of the country, with some amazing surf too. Also, 25Km from Peniche, by far the most consistent surf spot in all of Europe (for those who want a break from wind-driven sports once in a while).
At the centre, we have full facilities with a restaurant, repair shop, bathrooms and changing rooms, a shop and a lounging area.
We have one open position for each of the following sports: Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Wingfoiling and Sailing.
We are always open for submissions, so go ahead and get in touch with us. Most job openings will be up for the summer season (Mid-may to September)!
