Squamish Watersports is a leading watersports company based in Squamish, BC, offering lessons, guided tours, rentals, and camps in the spectacular setting of Howe Sound. Our activities include kiteboarding, wingfoiling, wakeboarding, boat tours, paddle tours, boat rentals, and kids camps. We are passionate about providing safe, high quality, and memorable experiences on the water for guests of all ages and skill levels.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and professional Kiteboarding or Wingfoiling Instructor to join our team. Our lessons are primarily taught from a boat, allowing us to provide safe and efficient instruction in ideal learning conditions. The ideal candidate is passionate about watersports, enjoys teaching people of all levels, and thrives in a dynamic outdoor environment.
Responsibilities:
• Teach beginner to advanced kiteboarding or wingfoiling lessons
• Assist with boat based instruction and operations during lessons
• Ensure all lessons are conducted safely and according to industry standards
• Prepare and maintain equipment before and after lessons
• Provide clear instruction and support to students on land and on the water
• Monitor weather and water conditions to ensure safe operations
• Assist with launching, landing, and supervising students during lessons
• Deliver a positive and professional customer experience
Qualifications
• Certified kiteboarding instructor (IKO, PASA, or equivalent preferred) or strong wingfoiling experience
• Strong knowledge of wind, weather, and water safety
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Boat Experience:
Since our lessons are taught from a boat, experience operating motorboats is helpful. A motorboat licence is an asset but not required, as it can easily be completed online in one day.
