Position OverviewWaterski Instructors lead one of the most exciting and high-energy programs at camp. In this role, you will teach waterskiing and/or wakeboarding to campers of varying ages and skill levels, from beginners learning basic balance to advanced skiers refining technique.
You will be responsible for supervising dock procedures, ensuring safe boat operation, managing equipment, and maintaining strict waterfront safety protocols. Instruction requires patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build confidence in young learners while prioritizing safety at all times.
This is a residential summer position. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead instructional sessions on waterskiing, wakeboard and wakesurf techniques, safety, and equipment use
  • Monitor campers’ progress and provide individualized instruction as needed
  • Ensure the safety of all campers at all times
  • Maintain equipment and report any repairs or replacements needed
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required

LocationThis is a residential summer camp position located at partner camps across multiple U.S. states, including New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maine, New Hampshire, Colorado, and more.

Staff live and work on-site at camp for the duration of the summer. Housing and meals are provided. During the application process, candidates can indicate their preferred states, regions, and camp types. 

Final placement is based on applicant preference, availability, and camp hiring needs.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience waterskiing, wakeboard/surf and/or instructing
  • Current CPR and first aid certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Passion for teaching and working with children
  • Must be able to pass a drug and/or background test according to camp policies and local laws
